Paramount Confirms Strange New Worlds’ Last Season
With the debut of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds three years ago, Paramount once again brought a breath of fresh air into one of the most legendary sci-fi universes of all time. As a prequel to the classic “Star Trek”, the series focuses on the crew of the USS Enterprise NCC-1701, which is led by Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount), whom the creators want to pay more attention to.
Fans are also thrilled with Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. Alone at IMDb the series currently gets 8.3 out of 10 stars. Nevertheless, Paramount is now announcing the end of Strange New Worlds. However, it’s not quite that dramatic, because fans will get to see a lot more of this crew in the next few years!
How long will Star Trek Strange New Worlds run?
With the announcement of a fifth season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Paramount also announced that this will also be the last season of the series. In addition, it is shorter with just six episodes. However, it will be a long time before the finale of Strange New Worlds will start.
On July 17, 2025, the third season of Strange New Worlds will make its debut with a double episode. So the sci-fi series hasn’t even reached its halfway point yet. If you add everything up, the prequel will end with 46 episodes after all seasons. So far, however, only 20 episodes are available. So we can expect some more stories with the crew of the USS Enterprise NCC-1701.
When is Strange New World Season 4 coming?
Paramount has not yet revealed when we can expect the start of the fourth season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. But we do know that filming is already underway, as freshly released photos from the set have recently revealed.
However, the release of season 4 should probably not be expected before mid-2026. By the way, the last episodes of the fifth season are already being filmed this year. This could make the gap between seasons 4 and 5 smaller. Again, however, it will most likely take at least until 2027 before fans will see the finale of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.
