Squid Game Season 3 Trailer Drops
In the final trailer for Squid Game season 3, the creators show new scenes. This sweetens the waiting time before the final season starts. Fans are thrilled on the one hand by the well-done editing of the trailer, but also by the newly shown scenes.
There are also some flashbacks in the trailer, so it’s a very fitting closing trailer for an equally great series. Season 3 of Squid Game will start on June 27, 2025, but unfortunately it also marks the end of the series.
This is revealed in the new trailer for Squid Game season 3
After there was already a first taste of season 3 at the Tudum fan event, another trailer is now coming. This one is much more melancholic in comparison. Player 149 (actress Kang Ae-shim) speaks off-screen directly to the main actor Seong Gi-hun (actor Lee Jung-jae).
She talks about guilt and injustice, about bad people and good people who torture themselves with self-reproach. Gi-hun himself addresses the audience at the end of the trailer and says that he will try to put an end to this. The mission of season 3 should be clear.
How did Season 2 end? Warning, spoilers
If you haven’t seen seasons 1 and 2 yet, you shouldn’t read any further at this point. For everyone else: You’re probably eagerly waiting for the continuation of the rather nasty cliffhanger in season 2. This was published in December 2024. At that time, the winner of season 1 decided to end the deadly games. Again, however, this attempt failed, because instead he was captured.
At the end of season 2, we also saw Player 290 (actor Lee Seo-hwan) executed by the Front Man. Viewers also discovered in the last episode that the Front Man player is 001. Gi-hun doesn’t know that yet, though. In the third season, we can therefore certainly look forward to answers and hopefully also to a worthy ending. Netflix has already confirmed that season 3 will be the final season and that it will not continue after that.
