WhatsApp Finally Launches Standalone iPad App

Waiting and detours were yesterday, the messenger Whatsapp is now also available as a separate app for the iPad. It can be installed now via the device’s App Store.

Until now, anyone who wanted to use WhatsApp on an iPad could only do so via the web version of Messenger. One disadvantage: the mobile phone had to remain connected at all times.

With the new app, all the usual functions come to the iPad. The chats are also synchronized across devices with the smartphone.

Classic WhatsApp brought up in a big way

With the iPad also come a few new controls. The app is not only compatible with the Magic Keyboard, but can also be controlled with the Apple Pencil. You also benefit from the tablet’s larger screen.

Because even if you activate the multitasking function, which allows you to use several apps at the same time, you can still use the messenger without restrictions. This allows you to take notes or continue shopping at the same time.

Whatsapp already exists as a standalone app for smartphones and the Mac. Users are still waiting for a standalone Instagram app for Apple’s tablets.
