How to clean the mouse sensor?
The mouse sensor is very sensitive. For this reason, we recommend that you do the cleaning as specified in this small guide. If you want to give this device a deep clean, follow these simple tips to help you make it as good as new.
Note that you should not turn on the mouse while cleaning it. If we don’t know how these devices work, it’s best to just clean the outside.
Mouse sensor cleaning
Dampen a lint-free cloth or cotton swab with mild soap and water and gently rub the outer surface of the mouse, wheel, and optical sensor. For light-colored mice, we recommend cleaning with isopropyl alcohol (IPA) solution when necessary.
If you want to have a germ-free mouse, use disinfectant wipes. Squeeze out excess moisture and gently wipe the mouse; Make sure no liquid gets into any slots. Put a few drops of isopropyl alcohol on the microfiber cloth. The goal is to clean the device, not to get it wet. Gently rub the entire surface of the mouse.
After leaving the entire surface clean, place a drop on the stick and wipe the optical sensor. You need to be very careful not to hit it with the plastic of the stick, so you should rub it gently.
Finally, leave the device in a cool place to dry completely for at least 30 minutes. If you still see it wet after this time, let it rest for another half hour.
