When will be ios 18 released?
Developments regarding when Apple will offer the iOS 18 operating system update continue to be followed. iOS 18 will be announced at Apple’s annual developers conference, which is planned to be held in the first week of June.
Apple has not yet announced when iOS 18, which includes new features, will arrive, but more information about when the new operating system will arrive is already floating around. iOS 18 is now very soon, so we can be more clear about when iOS 18 will arrive. We expect iOS 18 to come with the iPhone 16. iPhone 16 is expected to be released in the second week of September.
When will iOS 18 be released?
New versions of iOS usually arrive in mid-September. Usually a new iPhone launch accompanies the new version, so we can already predict that iOS 18 will arrive with the iPhone 16. Let’s not forget that Apple introduced the iPhone 15, which will be released in 2023, on September 12, and then the process continued with the release of iOS 17 on September 12. Apple, which releases the new version of iOS in September, usually releases the new versions of iPadOS and MacOS in October.
New versions have usually been announced at the company’s WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) in June so far. iOS 18 will be introduced at Apple’s WWDC 2024 event in June. A developer beta will be available at the same time, and a public beta will be available later in the month. Therefore, if you do not care about possible bugs in the operating system, you can try iOS 18 for yourself in beta at the end of July. Of course, while we’re talking about iOS 18 here, iPadOS 18 will almost certainly follow the same path.

Which iPhone models will be able to use iOS 18?
Apple tends to support devices for long periods of time, so we can’t really be mad when the company stops supporting older ones, but we’d like the support to last even longer, which would mean most devices with iOS 17 will get iOS 18.
There has been intense speculation that iOS 18 will be available on all models compatible with iOS 17. Below are the devices that are certain to receive the update, as well as those that may not receive the update. What’s new in iOS 18
Siri gets better with every new version of iOS, and although it’s pretty good right now, there’s always room for improvement, especially since it’s still arguably trailing Google Assistant. Most importantly, we want Siri to understand us better and answer our questions accurately and helpfully. Instead, we want to rely less on web results and get more bespoke answers.
Apple Maps is much better than it once was, and the last two features have improved it even further. We’re talking cycling directions, multi-routing and guides, the latter being suggestions for things to see and do. However, none of these features are available everywhere. In fact, at the time of writing, they were mostly limited to a handful of major cities. In particular, we want bicycle directions to be presented as widely as possible. These show you routes that include bike paths, bike lanes and the like, and let you choose routes that avoid hills.
The App Store had a wishlist feature that allowed you to make a list of apps and games you were interested in. This is especially useful for things that cost money, because you might not be sure you want to pay for them yet, but I still wanted to make sure you didn’t forget about them. Unfortunately, Apple removed this feature years ago, so we’d really like to see it return with iOS 18.
Apple previously added a Translate app to its mobile operating system, giving you a nifty way to translate other languages. However, it only supported 12 languages at launch; this was much less than Google Translate and some other competing apps and services. Therefore, we would like to see major improvements in this regard with iOS 18.
